Product Information and Technical Data

#129 Elastomeric Asphalt Emulsion is a rubberized roof coating that can be applied over virtually any type of roof surface. This professional grade, watertight coating forms a seamless barrier that will withstand water. Its elastomeric properties and superior bonding ability produce an outstanding base coat of protection for almost any roof condition. #129 actually expands and contracts with the roof’s surface to resist peeling, cracking and checking. It can be applied to modified bitumen, built-up, asphalt, shingles, metal, concrete and even old tar roofs. Roof coated with #129 form an excellent base for all GlobalShield reflective coatings.

Preparation
All surfaces must be clean, have proper drainage and be free of surface rust and any other foreign matter. Roof surface may be damp (from morning dew), however surfaces may not be saturated with water. Brush clean all cracks, holes and damaged or rusted areas with wire brush. Repair using GlobalShield polyester reinforcement and #129.

For best results, reinforce coating with a polyester reinforcing fabric or chopped glass fibers. Once cured, apply #310 Bright White Elastomeric Roof Coating or #202 Aluminum Emulsion. This will greatly extend the life of the roof.
